THE BLURB:

The fourth enchanting novel in the Lucky Harbor series from New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis, laced with her trademark gift for humour, warmth and romance. Fans of Susan Andersen, Bella Andre, Rachel Gibson, Carly Phillips, and Susan Mallery will fall head over heels for the Lucky Harbor series.

Mallory Quinn has had enough of playing it safe. As a nurse and devoted daughter, she takes care of everyone but herself. And as the local good girl, she's expected to date Mr. Right. But for once, she'd like to take a risk on Mr. Wrong. And who could be more wrong than Ty Garrison? The mysterious new guy in town has made it clear that he's only passing through, which suits Mallory just fine. Besides, his lean, hard body and sexy smile will give her plenty to remember once he's gone...
For the first time in his life, Ty can't bear to leave. Helping this sexy seductress-in-training walk on the wild side is making him desire things he shouldn't, including leaving the military for good. As their just-for-fun fling becomes something more, Mallory and Ty wonder if they could really be this lucky in love. After all...anything can happen in a town called Lucky Harbor.

DAWN'S THOUGHTS:

I initially wanted to read this book based on the print size of the writing inside (I do love a good easy read), and the added fact that my Mum was reading Book 1 in the series and couldn't stop raving about it, meant that I was intrigued.
From the first chapter I was hooked - more hooked than a fish to a fisherman's line! I couldn't get enough of the characters who were not just believable and realistic, but the writing style and talent of Jill Shalvis meant that for me, it was as good as watching a new hit series on the TV. I loved how Mallory was as a person, she worked hard, she cared for others in more than just a professional capacity, and she was always labelled 'the good girl', the 'one who would never do anything scandalous'. I think we all know someone like this! So when Mallory did exactly just that - she made out at a town event in the roof top with a hunky newcomer, I was cheering her on! Good on you Mallory!
Lucky Harbour, reminds me a little of Cedar Cove from Debbie Macomber's hit series, but it is still entirely unique enough to keep you interested. And if the Harbour doesn't keep you interested enough, Ty Garrison surely will... he's so hot the firemen need to be on standby when he's around! There's something about his name that is addictive... Ty Garrison.. go on, roll that name around your tongue... haha. Seriously though, Ty and Mallory each have their own demons from the past, (don't we all?!) and it's truely inspiring how these two find their attraction helping them beat the odds.

It's a saucy novel, so don't be surprised by the steamy scenes that are... well very steamy, but fear not... it's NOTHING as sordid or disgusting as 50 Shades... it's not bad smut... this is the good stuff, the sex that we all know happens, the sex that's real, the sex that isn't of the fantasy variety. This is the stuff that turns on your boyfriend... your partner, your husband... and You of course!
I utterly loved it, and Jill is my NEW FAVOURITE Saucy Author. Because the stuff she writes is not only HOT, it's Real, Raw and  Passionate to the Core. I loved every page, every sentence, every word. I can't wait to read the rest!
