Why I'm NOT Hearting Technology Right Now...#HIFortnight

Thursday 7 May 2015

Hey my lovely lovers of the fictional page.

I feel compelled to write this albeit short post using my mobile phone just to update you on why there are No further posts from me for Harper Impulse Fortnight even though we were fully booked!

I live in an area where broadband levels are pants at the best of times. So much so that for many years I had to rely on mobile broadband dongles to get me through university. Last year I managed to secure WiFi broadband and thought all my prayers had been answered.

Until my laptop failed to connect, and now the service is being improved...apparently 😤 So this just HAD to happen when I'd promised bloggers, book lovers, my readers, publishers and authors that I would be showcasing everything Harper Impulse.

It appears that I've let you all down and seriously can't begin to apologise enough. I've sat and actually cried about this, but crying doesn't fix anything. So I've come up with a plan.

I've been promised that ill have full WiFi access by Monday so if that is true I WILL post my planned posts for Harper Impulse Fortnight, and ill share them via all my social media channels.

And in future ill have to categorically make sure that I have pre-scheduled posts at least a week in front.

Again, I'm tremendously sorry to all the authors I've let down, my fellow book bloggers, Katey from Books With Bunny, Harper Impulse and you, my very dear and loyal readers.

I hope that you can forgive me

All my bookish love,
Dawn xxx 📕 💞 📕

  1. You are absolutely NOT letting anyone down, and I will not hear of any tears! You are one awesome lady and a huge supporter of Harper Impulse. The books and the authors are going nowhere, so there is no rush whatsoever. Although it would be great if you'd consider moving to, say...Sheffield. Just so we could talk books in person xxx

    1. Matey, you really are lovely. I'm speechless at your kindness. I'd love to move to Sheffield to talk books in person along with our childcare and crochet moments, but for now we'll have to make do with technology - when it works xxx

  3. Aww, Dawn please don't feel bad. You've done a fab job! Thank you!!! And the timing could be a blessing in disguise in that you'll be blogging after HIfortnight wraps, so in a sense you'd be extending the HI promos! :)))

  5. O no, don't feel bad Dawn, failing broadband is the worst thing, but it's so great that you're participating, and we are all grateful for that. Also, this way we get #HIFortnight that lasts three weeks - which has to be good. Huge thanks and big hugs for joining in and spreading the HI word :)
