Hello Gorgeous!
Today is a day I've been looking forward to ever since I knew that Sarah Morgan was finally releasing the follow up book to Sleepless in Manhattan in the "From Manhattan with Love" series. It's my absolute pleasure to be hosting the book tour today on my blog, and I just can't wait for you to get your hands on this book!

There is so much love in my heart for this book right now it's hard to know where to begin. Sarah Morgan NEVER fails to bring the most wonderfully storyline to life in the pages of her books (and I've been reading her work since I first read a Mills and Boon swoon-worthy romance by her years ago!). Sunset in Central Park will always hold a special place in my heart for many reasons, least of all the memories it evokes for me and my own romantic life.
The cover is just simply gorgeous, and the second I saw it I just had one of those happy moments when a treasured memory visits you. I marked the occasion by messaging a special someone saying "Guess what the cover reminds me of?" - granted it took us revisiting the place for it to all fall into place, but that's part of the magic really.
So in this book we meet up with Frankie, Eva and Paige again, although the focus is more on Frankie and Paige's brother Matt this time around. We still get our tastes teased with Paige and Eva's life, sadly Eva's grandmother passes away leaving Eva heartbroken and grief stricken, something I think a lot of us can empathise with. Paige is still getting her early nights with Jake ;-) and Eva is there to make us laugh as she talks about her non existent sex life - proven by the expired condom in her purse! There's always plenty of fun to be had with these three Urban Genie ladies!
Frankie hates romance and love and weddings and intimacy and sex - or so she thinks. Having been faced with bad experiences in the past and a mother who left scars on her that even a pair of glasses won't hide, she has to come to terms with her past so she can fully move into the future she deserves.
Matt thinks Frankie is gorgeous without her glasses as well as with them, he sees the real Frankie and he adores what he sees. He finally convinces her to go on a non-date. Their first non-date is in Central Park where they walk, talk and fight the chemistry. I absolutely ADORED this scene as for my first date I went to a park in our local area and my handsome guy actually said on our first date that walking there with me reminded him a little of Central Park (awwhhh!) :-) Frankie and Matt relax into each others company, even if at first she was nervous and said she might spill her coffee if she had one because she was shaking with nerves (Heads up Frankie, You did great girl, whereas I actually did spill my coffee through nerves on our first date!) and Frankie realised she loved spending time with Matt, and had the perfect date as the sun set in Central Park. But was it enough to heal the pain from her past???
Like all relationships, it's a case of trial and error, acceptance and compromise, and Matt is determined to never hurt Frankie. Frankie has to work through a lot of issues, and face challenges with Matt wanting to be there by her side to help support her, will she let him? Or will she let herself believe everything Mr D Minus told her years ago?
I urge you to grab yourself a copy now by pre-ordering it for 14th July, and discover how it all ends for Frankie and Matt. Sunset in Central Park will leave you breathless with a smile plastered on your face that will have everyone guessing.
So Sarah has done it again, writing yet another bestseller and already I'm hungry for Miracle on 5th Avenue where we get to peek closer into Eva's wardrobe... I mean life!
Thank you Sarah, for writing a book that will forever be in my heart as it captured the memories of my very own first date in our own personal version Central Park, that has a bridge almost identical to the one on the cover. You have become a part of our life that I will forever hold dear. Mwah!

True love can be hard to find. Even when it’s been right under your nose all along…
After witnessing the fallout of her parent’s divorce, love has never been a priority for garden designer Frankie Cole. The only man in her life is her friend Matt–but that’s strictly platonic. If only she found it easier to ignore the way he makes her heart race…
Matt Walker has loved Frankie for years but, has always played it cool. Until he uncovers new depths to the girl he’s known forever, and doesn’t want to wait a moment longer.
Matt knows Frankie has secrets and has buried them deep, but can he persuade her to kiss him under the Manhattan sunset?

Title: Chocolate Dreams at the Gingerbread Café by Rebecca Raisin

THE BLURB:
Welcome back to the warmth, cupcakes and hot chocolate of The Gingerbread Café – your home away from home
Chocolate…the most irresistible temptation?
The Gingerbread Café is all a buzz! This Easter, Lily and the rest of the town of Ashford, Connecticut are planning a truly decadent Chocolate Festival.
Cooking up a storm, CeeCee and Lily are not just baking a batch of their sinfully delicious chocolate-dipped gingerbread men, but an excess of chocolate truffles, squidgy, cinnamony hot cross buns and melt in your mouth chocolate eggs.
The Gingerbread Café staff have definitely enjoyed the tasting process! Add in Damon’s cute-as-a-button seven year old daughter, Charlie, up for a visit and Lily’s perfect Easter may just be around the corner. Until her ex-husband Joel turns up demanding twenty thousand dollars…
Suddenly the future of the Gingerbread Café is not so clear…and Lily finds herself eating far more of The Gingerbread Café’s treats than her skinny jeans allow…
Can Lily concoct a brilliant plan to save her beloved café, convince Damon she has no feelings for Joel and still throw a Chocolate Festival the town will be talking about for years? There’s only one way to find out...
MY OPINION:
I devoured this e-book in two sittings and found it to be just as scrumptious as the first one. In this second story in the trilogy, we met back with our favourite characters; Lil, CeeCee, Damon and his daughter Charlie.
We're approaching April, four months later in Lil and Damon's relationship. In the run up to Easter, the town of Ashford are planning on hosting a special event for everyone to celebrate.
Easter eggs are being made, the Easter Bunny costume for Damon has been bought by Lil, and the scent of the gingerbread is wafting through the air. Everything is perfect and Lil is happier than she ever thought she could be.
Until... Her ex husband, Joel turns up ... and demands his monetary share of Lil's business, profits and livelihood. Even though she actually should be the one demanding money back from Joel, Lil finds herself in the impossible position of fearing that she may have to sell up. Rather than see her life and precious business be lost due to that.... "bad egg", Lil vows to take out a loan, cash her savings... and will do anything to pay off the scoundrel rather than sell her beloved business. But she won't take charity from Damon.
CeeCee has her own concerns too, with fellow friend and townie Walt's wife being ill, so she brings her beautiful humorous personality into the mix and goes and gives Joel what for.... but is that ALL she gives him?
I absolutely adore this treat of a read, and was eager to catch up with Lil, Damon, and CeeCee. Rebecca has this special talent that enables you to feel cosy, content and a part of the Ashford/Gingerbread Café community through the flicking of kindle pages. If you are yet to read any of the Gingerbread series, then I strongly urge you to do so right away. You won't be bored or disappointed as they curb your appetite for a good read in the most delicious of ways.
I also loved how CeeCee had another 'vision' with the previous book having CeeCee seeing Lil & Damon romantically involved with each other, this time, she spots the pitter-patter of tiny scrumptious feet... but are Lil and Damon ready for that? and more importantly.... is CeeCee just wishfully thinking for an addition to the gingerbread café?
In addition to all the boisterous goings on at Easter, Damon has plans of his own for Lil, and they don't need Joel getting in the way. Damon has a special Easter bunny surprise for Lil and it involves a question containing 4 words... Will she say Yes?!

THE BLURB:
The icing on her Christmas cake!
Christmas is the season The Gingerbread Café was made for…but owner Lily couldn’t be feeling less merry if she tried. She’s spent another year dreaming of being whisked away on a sleigh-ride for two, but she’s facing festive season alone – again. And, just to give her another reason to feel anything other than candy-cane perky, a new shop across the road has opened… Not only is it selling baked goods but the owner, and his seriously charming smile, has every girl in town swooning.
But Lily isn’t about to let her business crumble - The Gingerbread Café is the heart of the community, and she’s going to fight for it! This could be the Christmas that maybe, just maybe, all her dreams – even the someone-to-decorate-the-Christmas-tree with ones – really do come true!
MY OPINION:
Having wanted to read this book for ages, the opportunity presented itself to me when Rebecca sent me all three books to read which I promised to review for her. So this is the first of the three in the series.
Lil owns a sweet little shop called Gingerbread Café, whom she runs with her best friend and widow, CeeCee who is just the funniest, most upfront woman I've ever read. She's so relatable and instantly made me think of my best friends Mum and Nan with her honest and protective yet humorous influence on Lil.
It's coming up to Christmas so the whole town is preparing for the festivities, with Lil and CeeCee baking delightful and mouth-watering scrumptious food. I don't know how I didn't devour a whole box of chocolates whilst reading this! The shop over the road from Lil's is recently been taken over by a guy named Damon... he's from a rich family who've lived in the town forever... but Lil doesn't have any idea who he is. Both CeeCee and Lil assume he's selling small gifts.... but when they find out that he's competition, Lil heads over to give him what for!
CeeCee thinks it's time Lil moves on from her ex, Joel and sees sparks between Damon and Lil... but Lil thinks she's out of her mind. With the town not being the big enough for the both of them, how will Lil cope when Damon starts taking her customers, and with them, her profits? She can't let the Gingerbread Café run to ruin, yet she's hardly a match for wealthy Damon is she? How will she be able to match his shop interior? They couldn't exactly join forces could they, so that no one loses out? Could they?
Lil does what she does best, and cooks her heart out, which seems to soften it and before she knows it, she's over at Damon's shop handing him her delicious treats, but is that all he gets of her?
At one point, when I was reading about CeeCee I laughed so uncontrollably, that I had my mother looking at me like I was high on something.... I absolutely loved this little treat of a book, short and a sweet introduction to the beautiful masterpieces of Rebecca Raisin. With two more follow up books to continue to tempt your tastebuds, I can't recommend this ebook enough as a short festive read with likeable, realistic characters whom warm your heart.
This is me. Dawn. And I am a total book worm, although I really wish I could think of prettier name for myself rather than Book Worm... I've never been all that fond of worms.
I wanted to connect with you in this blog post because I really think it's important for me to do that for you and for myself, it's a kind of chat where you get to know a bit more about me and the general life I live.
I've always had my nose in a book and my mind in a life somewhere imagined (by the author), reading is my sanctuary and when times get tough I grab a book and lose myself in it until I feel ready to surface again.
Today we welcome the first day of October, and for me it's the start of the countdown to my 26th birthday which will be on the 5th October. I feel in the past year I've grown a lot (not in a growth height spurt - I'm happy at 5ft 6in), and I can honestly say that I feel at home with who I am. A lot of that has to do with really throwing myself into not just reading chick-lit, because I've always read chick lit from as far back as I can remember, but the blogging about it has really been only happening this year. Chick Lit lights me up and allows me to be me... the real me and I don't have to pretend to be someone I'm not in order to talk/write about something that really doesn't fill me up.
Speaking of filling up, I filled up quite a few shopping bags today.... full of books! Do you want to see my latest book hoard? It might actually give Rebecca Bloomwood a run for her money, because for her it was shoes, whereas for me, it's books! The more the merrier. I have all my childhood books by authors such as Dick King-Smith, The Babysitters club series, Animal Ark Series, to Heartbreak Café, Megan trilogy - (these actually went round a group of friends of mine in high school - they were gripped just as I was and they always wanted to know if I had the next book for them to read and when I did they needed me to hurry up so they could start), all these books are in the spare bedroom and take up nearly half of the room! Just today Mum and I were discussing getting a new 6 shelf bookcase but we figured we'd need another 2! But I absolutely needed a new booking spree.
I was so excited when I got home from shopping to find I had book post from publishers and I can't wait to read them! I'm actually getting my Mum on board to help out with the occasional read so that we can get these reviews of all these amazing books out to you because we know that everyone loves a good book.
I admit that I'm a super fast reader but this past week I've been a little slow because I'm finishing up University assignments. But once this weekend and my birthday (Sunday if you hadn't worked it out) has gone I'll be back full throttle!
I absolutely love being able to share with you a true passion of mine that I hope rubs off on you and inspires you to keep reading, keep escaping, and keep finding that happy place. In a future post I'll be sharing with you significant books that have made a huge impact on my life and I'll be dishing all on why they are so poignant. I'd love to know what books you have read that have helped you through your life. Just pop a comment below and share A Page Of Love in your life.
Don't forget to pop back tomorrow for a fab EXCLUSIVE on the blog tour of Amy Griffin's Before You Say Yes!
You may have guessed that since my reading of Mr Miracle by Debbie Macomber, I am in a festive mood and am eager to read as many Christmas themed books as I can this year. Here are two festive reads that are due to be published the first week in October! (Days away!!)
