Hi there everyone,
I know I've not been around much this year so far. The past few weeks I've been dealing with the after effects of Whiplash, a Cold that brought on Labyrinthitis (inner ear infection), and terrible migraines. I've had it all thrown at me. But, i'm back on the mend and building my strength back up again.
Today i'm doing a huge THUMBS UP THURSDAY for an eBook that's been out since 19th March 2015, and I've been meaning to mention it and feature it for ages on here. I'm lucky that the author, Kendra Smith, is lovely and has been super understanding about my failure to do so.
So, what's this book that I think deserves a huge THUMBS UP? It's called Jacaranda Wife and it's only £2.99 on your kindle (or free if you have Kindle Unlimited!).

Isn't the cover just beautiful? From what I've read about it, it promises to be a hilarious and fun read, with 316 pages it's sure to keep you company on your holiday.
Here's what's being said about it already!
Amazon review: (Australia)
This book hooked me from the first page and took me on a roller-coaster of emotions. I literally LOLed at times but my eyes were leaky at others.
Such an excellent, exciting, well-written and constructed story. A definite notch or two above many other chick-lit novels I cared and the characters and already wonder: what Katie did next!
If you like Liane Moriaty, you'll love Kendra Smith.
Amazon review Australia
Laugh out loud and then hold your breath with worry in this story of a couple with three young sons who move from London to Sydney for his job and need to renegotiate relationships with family and friends and one another. Very well drawn, believable characters - a great read. Monica McInerney or Liane Moriarty fans will enjoy this.
So what is it about exactly, why is there so much hype and praise for this novel?
Katie
and Tom’s marriage is in trouble. As is their bank account.
So when
Tom tells Katie that they need to talk, she knows it must be about one of two
things. Either he has found out about her kiss with her best friend’s husband,
or they are in even worse debt than she thought.
What she was not expecting was for him to tell her that his boss is sending him to Australia. Permanently.
What she was not expecting was for him to tell her that his boss is sending him to Australia. Permanently.
But the
home-loving mother of two from London realises it might just be what they need
to save their marriage. Trouble is, she doesn’t much like heat, can’t swim
properly and hates spiders. Then there’s the Sydney yummy mummy with a cleavage
you’d lose your car keys in, eyeing up her husband. Not to mention the bouts of
homesickness – and Tom’s endless business trips. Taking the bull by the horns
(or at least pulling on an old Speedo) she tackles her fear of the ocean first.
Can Katie find a
way to patch up their marriage? Does Australia provide the spark they
need - or does it send the whole thing up in smoke? And just which side of the globe will
she decide to call home?
All that's left for me to say is this; go ahead, buy your copy now, share your thoughts on Amazon, and here on A Page of Love, connect with Kendra (details below), and come back soon for my review, an exclusive Q&A with Kendra, AND Kendra will be taking over A Page of Love on the 16th April 2015!
