Blurb | Love Your Lady Landscape is a healing journey through the terrain of what it is to be a woman. When a woman isn't in alignment with her feminine essence, she may experience exhaustion and overwhelm, lack sexual desire or passion for life and generally feel 'out of sync'.
In this book, Lisa Lister uses a myriad of tools and practices such as Earth based spirituality, shamanic teachings, movement and dance, and breath and sound work to teach women how to reconnect to their feminine wisdom in order to start rebalancing all aspects of their lives. Based on Lisa's own 11-year journey of healing and reconnecting with her body, this book will help you:
  • release guilt and shame from the past
  • explore self-pleasure and sensuality
  • understand, read and connect with your body's signs and signals
  • learn about your menstrual cycle and its connection with the rhythms of nature and the universe
  • discover the sacred art of receiving
  • express your creativity
  • find your voice to communicate your needs, wants and desires
Love Your Lady Landscape will move women into a fiercely loving and healing relationship with their body and will teach them how to use its cycles and signs to create a life of vitality, fulfilment and creation.

The idea of following my cycle daily, even monthly used to be something I used to think I'd consider when I was ready to start a family. I thought it was something you did when you wanted to zone in on your fertility. Lisa educated me in a way that has changed my life.

There's this saying that "you know your body better than anyone" and although I can say that yes that's true, but I think I only truly got to know my body intimately when I began following Lisa's guidance in Love Your Lady Landscape.

I found that by tracking my menstrual cycle not only did I find that I knew when my cycle was going to come on my period but I knew how my emotions would be, what I would be energetically up to doing and I could look forward to the creatively that literally flowed my way. What Lisa teaches you goes way beyond the usual; "Oh I'm tired when I'm on my period, I'm sore and achy, I don't feel like doing anything, I think I have around a 28 day cycle, and I get ratty before I'm due". All that is beautiful and it's great if you do recognise yourself there (or in your own version).

But what if you could pinpoint what exact day you would be feeling weepy, what day the anxiety and lack of self esteem would say hello? What if you could plan your schedule to know exactly what days are good for making plans, for taking on that big project, for putting your project together? What if you knew exactly when you were going to feel aroused and horny for your man?

I could go on, and in fact I will...

What if you could learn about many 'female' issues and how to love them anyway? Lisa talks about the actual 'practical' health care for "down there" which I think is absolutely bloody fabulous (pun intended!). So many women, young women are walking around clueless as to how to really love themselves, and love their most intimate parts. Lisa is like the Big Sister you can turn to. I think every high school girl should be given a copy of this - because if their sex education classes are anything like mine were (Male teacher handing out worksheets of the anatomy of both sexes, gave us a textbook page to turn to, and we were told to read the information in the textbook, fill in the labels, fill in the missing words in the sentences and then glue and stick it in our books!) then this book is DESPERATELY needed so that girls KNOW their lady landscape and are unapologetic about it.

I believe through reading this book, that as a 28 year old woman I have become far more clued up, feminine and indeed I've tapped into my SHE power as Lisa deems it. Even my partner is clued up on MY cycle so to speak so he knows when to cuddle me, when I need that extra TLC and reassurance, and when to leave me the F alone, and it's all with LOVE and RESPECT for my Lady Landscape.

Who would I recommend this book to?

If you a woman, a young woman, are bleeding monthly, are due to bleed monthly, have bled monthly and are now in your wise years, then you should read this.

If you get hormonal before/during your period

If you don't get hormonal before/during your period

If you want to shake off the shame and guilt for being feminine and having time each month where you bleed

If you want to finally stand the F u and honour yourself as a female

Listen, are you female? Yes? Then you should read it. Everyone included. All inclusive.

Lisa, your work is world changing, young women, and women all around the world are waking up and getting clued up on their most vital and sacred aspect of themselves. For that, I applaud you. I sincerely wish and hope that at some point, sooner rather than later, every female in the world either has a copy of this book and read it, or has read a copy. That would be epically life changing.
